US military redirects 130 ships and destroys 13 as part of Iran blockade

More than 70 ships carrying humanitarian aid were allowed passage, while 13 ships allegedly violating the blockade were destroyed by the US military.

WASHINGTON, October 6 - RIA Novosti. The US military has already redirected 130 ships as part of the naval blockade of Iran, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported.

On October 1, CENTCOM reported the redirection of 125 vessels to enforce the blockade of Iran.

“U.S. Central Command forces have redirected the 130th commercial vessel to the Middle East as part of strict enforcement of the ongoing U.S. naval blockade against Iran,” the military said in a post on social media X.

According to them, more than 70 ships with humanitarian aid were allowed to pass.

CENTCOM also claims that the US military destroyed 13 ships that allegedly violated the blockade.
