At least 14 Nepalese climbers are missing after an avalanche in the Himalayas

At least 14 people, who are Nepalese citizens, went missing after an avalanche occurred in the Himalayas on the Himlung Himal mountain in Nar Phu area of ​​Manang district. This was reported by The Kathmandu Post.

According to the publication, rescue helicopters cannot yet reach the mountain due to bad weather. The missing went to the mountain in advance to prepare the camp and route for the arrival of foreign climbers, who planned to arrive in five to six days.

The Nepalese team included guides and support staff. It is known that on the morning of September 27, one of the participants in the hike contacted the organizers and asked to send a rescue helicopter.

The authorities intend to use a Nepal Army helicopter, but weather conditions are preventing the rescue operation. Ground operations are also hampered by weather.
