The 140th Canton Fair launched more than 50 innovative measures to improve service efficiency

The 140th Canton Fair will be held in Guangzhou in three phases from October 15th to November 4th. This year's Canton Fair has launched more than 50 innovative measures in smart applications, supporting trade services, etc., to provide exhibitors with full-process services and improve the overall efficiency of supply and procurement docking.

As the opening of the Canton Fair approaches, the Canton Fair's certification points have successively welcomed overseas buyers who come to apply for certificates. In order to improve the certificate application services for merchants, this year's Canton Fair has set up 70 certificate application points and 628 certificate application windows at the airport, high-speed rail stations, exhibition halls and designated hotels. Overseas buyers can obtain certificates in 30 seconds after verification with their passports.

This Canton Fair will embed artificial intelligence, big data and other technologies into the entire exhibition process, launch 22 smart application scenarios and 16 AI featured applications for the first time, and take the lead in the domestic exhibition industry to implement full-venue booth-level navigation and booth AR information display. The accuracy of booth navigation in the venue reaches 1 meter, covering more than 75,000 booths. In addition, exhibitors can exchange electronic business cards by scanning the QR code, AI automatically generates negotiation summaries, and the system automatically archives customer information and screens high-intent orders.

Li Kexin, staff member of the External Liaison Office of the China Foreign Trade Center: This Canton Fair launched the membership service for overseas buyers for the first time, and implemented a membership points system with a total of four levels. All our service upgrades are aimed at practical problems that have been reported intensively by previous buyers. We not only build tools, but also take into account the usage habits of different merchants, so that global merchants can devote more energy to business negotiations.

In order to ensure the travel of exhibitors and merchants, Guangzhou will launch a special subway timetable for the Canton Fair this year. About 9,000 subway gates support international bank cards to "click" through the gates. It dispatches more than 2,000 taxis and online car-hailing vehicles every day, and also creates autonomous driving application scenarios. During the exhibition, a self-driving bus demonstration route was opened for the first time around the Canton Fair exhibition hall, connecting surrounding key hotels, subway stations and main access channels to the exhibition hall.

Guangzhou Customs has also launched 12 convenient measures to support the inspection of inbound exhibits, the export of agricultural products and food, and optimize departure tax refund inspection services. While ensuring the landing of merchants and visiting the exhibition, this Canton Fair also further strengthens supporting trade services.
