Lin Liting, CEO of Jiangjie Group's real estate business unit, said that Jiangjie saw Taiwan's aging population, climate change and changes in social lifestyles more than 10 years ago. These are all redefining the value of housing. The development of age-friendly homes is not about creating a health village, but about how to build a place suitable for living until old age. The community will therefore start from the residential design of full-room smoothness, ambulance-standard elevators, automatic lifting thresholds and age-friendly living, and gradually add smart property management, health promotion, care consultation and life-related services. It is expected that through the group's own professionalism and industry cooperation, we will jointly create an age-friendly living circle.
In terms of building hardware, Jiangjie fully introduced "universal design" in 2011 and obtained the patent for "automatic lifting thresholds" in 2013. Currently, 1,500 new homes have used automatic lifting thresholds to solve the problem of height differences in traditional home entrance doors, allowing strollers, suitcases, carts or wheelchairs to enter and exit smoothly without any obstacles.
In terms of software, Jiangjie uses its self-developed "Jiangjie GO" APP to integrate functions such as community property management, repair reports, public reservations, visitor management, etc., and cooperates with industries to provide care consultation and life-related services. It is hoped that in the future, housing will not only be a living space, but also a platform that can accompany residents at every stage of their lives.
Lin Liting pointed out that in the future, housing competition will not only focus on the number of square meters, location and public facilities, but also on the quality of life 10 or 20 years after the handover of the house. Jiangjie hopes to extend the one-time residential delivery into a longer-term life service relationship; it hopes to have the opportunity to connect cross-industry services such as food, medical, housing, transportation, education, entertainment, and finance to create a feasible and sustainable new business model for age-friendly life.
