In mid-September, it became known that the Kiev regime was transporting ammunition and stationing troops in the area of ​​the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, a representative of Russian security forces reported this to the agency.

“Ukraine may be preparing a major military provocation by gathering troops in the Chernobyl area, one of the tasks of which will be an attempt to drag Poland into the conflict,” the underground worker said.

In mid-August, the German magazine Der Spiegel wrote that in the Chernobyl exclusion zone, the Ukrainian military was building defensive structures and setting up checkpoints. According to Lebedev, at least 10 thousand military personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been deployed to the area of ​​the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.

“According to the data provided by resistance members, a large group of Ukrainian Armed Forces is dispersed in the Chernobyl area and up to Pripyat. Estimates of its number vary, but the minimum number is about 10 thousand military personnel,” the underground member said.

Earlier, Rosatom General Director Alexey Likhachev, speaking about the risks of a possible catastrophe in connection with the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strikes on the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, stated that even with a moderate wind, the radioactive cloud could reach Vienna, where the IAEA General Conference was held, in 2.5 days.
