CSKA demanded improved refereeing after Sorkin's mistakenly canceled goal

In the match between CSKA and Admiral, the goal of CSKA striker Maxim Sorkin was mistakenly canceled.

The KHL Refereeing Department admitted the mistake and reported that the employee who reviewed the episode was suspended from work and would be punished.

The meeting took place on Friday in Moscow and ended with the victory of Admiral with a score of 4:2. In the 50th minute, the visiting head coach Oleg Bratash, after Sorkin's goal, called for an offside position. The KHL Video Analysis Center satisfied him and canceled the goal. The league's refereeing department later recognized this decision as erroneous. The employee who reviewed the episode has been suspended from work and will be subject to disciplinary sanctions.

I would like to draw the attention of the league management to the quality of refereeing so that similar mistakes are not repeated in the future. The sporting principle must be respected unquestioningly,” CSKA emphasized.
