Zhuxian accommodation service users’ subsidy increased, up to 180,000 can be received throughout the year

In response to the Ministry of Health and Welfare's "Accommodation Service User Subsidy Program", the subsidy has been increased from the original maximum of 120,000 yuan per person per year to a maximum monthly subsidy of 15,000 yuan. A maximum of 180,000 yuan in subsidies can be received in one year, and it can be traced back to people who apply for this service from New Year's Day this year. The Hsinchu County Government will cooperate in accepting applications. The first phase will be accepted before October 30, and the second phase will be before December 16 this year. People will submit applications to residential institutions for preliminary review, and then the institutions will send them to the county government for acceptance.

Xu Yuting, director of the County Government's Elderly Long-term Care Department, said that this increase in subsidies demonstrates that Long-term Care 3.0 strengthens support for moderate to severe care and family support, and will help actually reduce the burden on families of moderately and severely disabled elders living in residential institutions. It is important to note that after the policy adjustment, the maximum monthly subsidy is 15,000 yuan, and it is also recognized on a monthly basis. That is, the stay must be more than half of the calendar days of the month, and it will be paid in two installments.

Applicants include: institutional residents who meet the long-term disability level level 4 or above, or those who hold a certificate of moderate or above physical and mental disabilities, and the exclusionary requirement for wealth is cancelled. The above-mentioned plan also adds a new "increased accommodation fee subsidy for people with disabilities", that is, people who have already received the "residential care fee subsidy for people with disabilities" and meet the qualifications of this plan for moderate or above disability certification can apply for a monthly accommodation fee subsidy of 5,000 yuan.
