18-year-old killed in head-on collision with truck in central Hesse

An 18-year-old died in a head-on collision between a car and a truck in central Hesse. A 17-year-old and a 19-year-old who were in the car were seriously injured, the police said. The driver and passenger in the truck have minor injuries. All four were taken to hospitals.

According to initial findings, the 18-year-old's car left the road in a curve early in the evening, skidded and then collided with the oncoming truck. The driver died at the scene of the accident.

According to the information, the accident occurred on state road 3042 in Dautphetal - between the districts of Hommertshausen and Mornshausen in the Marburg-Biedenkopf district. The road was completely closed for many hours. The police are still looking for witnesses.
