During her speech, she praised legislator Xie Yimin, former Changhua deputy county magistrates Ke Chengfang and Hong Rongzhang, who had strived for nomination but failed to win, as the treasures of the KMT.

Zheng Liwen's story is very similar to Xi Jinping's attitude towards Jiang Zemin: After Xi Jinping came to power, under the banner of fighting corruption, he purged Jiang Zemin's military and civilian guardians.
