In the Krasnodar Territory it was proposed to attract volunteers and Cossacks to regulate queues at gas stations

The working group on fuel supply for the Krasnodar Territory, created on behalf of the region’s governor, Veniamin Kondratyev, recommended that municipal administrations streamline the process of refueling cars at gas stations by involving volunteers and Cossacks. Kommersant reports this with reference to the regional operational headquarters.

According to officials, social activists are able to help maintain public discipline, optimize the operation of stations and regulate traffic flows.

In addition, gas stations were asked to remove limits on the supply of fuel for vehicles engaged in passenger transportation and garbage trucks, as well as to allocate gas stations where only transport, emergency and operational services will be served from 03:00 to 06:00. Separately, regional authorities, municipal administrations, enterprises and organizations in the region are recommended to optimize the consumption of petroleum products as much as possible.

Questions about a complete ban on the supply of all types of fuel in cans and other containers will be brought up at an extraordinary meeting of the headquarters. Working group meetings are held daily.

Earlier, the Governor of the Trans-Baikal Territory, Alexander Osipov, announced the introduction of an electronic queue at gas stations in the region, the organization of hot meals and the distribution of water at gas stations, and an increase in the number of police officers, volunteers and employees who work directly at the pumps.

In both cases, the reason for such innovations was difficulties in providing fuel to residents of the regions, which is why some gas stations do not have some brands of gasoline, and queues accumulate at others.
