VLADIVOSTOK, September 6 – RIA Novosti. Fish breeding factories will be built in Chukotka, their products will be sold for sale in other regions of Russia, including Moscow, Governor Vladislav Kuznetsov said in an interview with RIA Novosti at the EEF.

“Unfortunately, we don’t have much fish. It’s tasty - the colder it is, the fattier the fish, the tastier it is, even smelt. For us, fish is in many ways ensuring our food security. We use it for our residents, but from the point of view of selling it, there’s not much of it. We want to do this, including fish farming,” said Kuznetsov.

He noted that now a special commission of scientists is determining the places where local fish can be raised.

“We will have fish breeding factories, and then we will not only provide for ourselves. People in Moscow, and St. Petersburg, and Yekaterinburg, and here in Vladivostok will be able to enjoy our delicious fish grown in our reservoirs. In the meantime, come to us to eat our delicious fish,” the governor said.

He clarified that two locations will be identified for the construction of fish hatcheries, and investors have already been selected. The fish reproduction cycle will be improved over at least four years, Kuznetsov said.
