Bad Omens performs at Rock in Rio with a world tour setlist and repertoire from the album 'The Death of Peace of Mind'

The metalcore group created in 2015 brought to the festival a summary of the show from the “Do you fell love” tour, with which they are touring the world. In it, the band brings a little of their three albums, in particular, “The Death of Peace of Mind”, released in 2022. The album was responsible for taking them to another level.

Not only on stage, but also on social media. The song “Just Pretend” went viral on TikTok and was even called the ““Waiting for you” of the foreigners”, making reference to the track by Luan Santana.

She talks about loving someone else but not being able to be with them because of their differences. And just like Luan's, he mentions that a person can wait for someone else as long as necessary, but that they will never be surpassed.

In the setlist, she appeared in the final stretch of the performance and got the audience to sing along, with their arms and cell phones raised.

"The death of peace of mind", "Left for good", "What it Cost" and "Concrete jungle" also entered the setlist, which excited a new generation of metalheads, including some children who were there with their parents.

The band, which mixes alternative metal with pop, electronic music and even R&B, also brought to the show the singles "Specter" (responsible for opening the powerful presentation) and "Dying to Love", released in recent months and presented throughout the world tour. These tracks (and others already released) should make up the group's next studio album, which has no release date yet.

As a whole, the repertoire earned the title of “metalcore suffering”, with its melancholic lyrics and cesspit atmosphere, but with the heavy beats and sound explosions of heavy metal.

Apparently, Bad Omens kept an eye on fans' comments on social media, as many commented on Instagram that they preferred to exchange “V.A.N”, a partnership with Poppy, for another hit from the repertoire, when a possible setlist for the show was leaked.

In addition to not being unanimous among fans, “V.A.N” had already been sung by the metal princess an hour before, on the same stage. There was even an expectation about Poppy's participation in the group's show. But it didn't happen.

Composed of Nicholas Ruffilo (guitar), Noah Sebastian (vocals), Joakim "Jolly" Karlsson (guitar), Nick Folio (drums) the band also had another strong connection with their history performing at a close time at Rock in Rio.

At the beginning of their career, the group was often compared to Bring Me the Horizon, who left Palco Mundo minutes before Bad Omens went to Sunset.

But Noah Sebastian's versatile vocals, which can easily change between screams and whispers, made the group assume its own identity over the years. On stage, he left a little to be desired in his performance. Although I have asked for the well-known excitement of the Brazilian public, he left the jumps to the fans only and only walked around the stage.

On the other hand, he didn't need to teach the younger audience how to behave at a metal show, as happened in 2023. At the time, a video of the singer talking about the subject went viral. But at Rock in Rio, everyone already knew what to do: less dancing, and more circles, shouting and enjoying.
