Sexual harassment case at Taipei Daan District Tuxedo Hotel: A man was taken away by the police for allegedly touching a woman’s breasts and arms with his dirty hands

A sexual harassment incident occurred in a formal hotel in Da'an District, Taipei City this morning. When a man surnamed Lu and his friends left after shopping, he passed by two young women who were borrowing the toilet. When Lu saw one of the women, he allegedly touched the woman's breasts and arms. He allegedly touched the woman's chest and arms. She was so angry that she chased her and argued. Da'an Police were reported to the scene, and they took Lu back for clarification. After questioning, he will be investigated in accordance with the law.

According to police investigation, 42-year-old Lu Nan, who works as a hotel agent, left a hotel in Section 4, Zhongxiao East Road, Da'an District after drinking with his friends at about 6 o'clock this morning. When he was about to walk from the basement to the first floor, he saw two women in their 20s who came downstairs to borrow the toilet. However, when they passed by, Lu Nan saw one of the women was attractive, so he said, "Are you a hotel lady? Do you want to go home with me?" and allegedly touched the woman's breasts and arms.

It is known that the woman and her friend were so angry that they hurriedly caught up with Lu Nan and argued with him. The store owner noticed that something was wrong and reported the case. Police officers from the Dunhua South Road Police Station of the Da'an Branch in the jurisdiction arrived and took both parties back to the police station to clarify the case. After reviewing the store's surveillance footage, the police inquired and transferred Lu Nan to the Taipei District Prosecutor's Office for investigation in accordance with the Sexual Harassment Prevention and Control Act.

The police appeal to the public that if they encounter sexual harassment, they should have the courage to file a complaint or report the case. They will accept the case in accordance with the law and actively assist to protect the rights of the victim.
