Bao Ngoc reached the top 6 of Miss World 2024, the best achievement of Vietnam

Bao Ngoc (second from right) stopped in the top 6 at the contest final on the evening of September 5, taking place at April 2 Square, Khanh Hoa. The highest position is named after Joheirry Mola Dominguez - a 24-year-old beauty from the Dominican Republic. There is no title, but Bao Ngoc's achievement is the best of the 24 times Vietnamese contestants have come to Miss World so far.

The beauty's full name is Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc, from Can Tho, 1.86 m tall, once crowned Miss Intercontinental 2022. In recent years, Bao Ngoc founded Gen Zero, an organization aimed at empowering young people to participate in climate and sustainable development issues, and is preparing to study for a master's degree in public policy and environment in the US.

After nearly a month of participating in the contest, Bao Ngoc said she was proud to not only express herself but also have the opportunity to introduce Vietnam to friends around the world. Bao Ngoc (left) spoke comfortably when arriving in Quang Ninh on August 8, joining the organizing committee to welcome contestants and start the first activities of the contest.

Bao Ngoc in the talent round for 23 girls who passed the previous selection round. On stage, she plays the stone guitar and sings and raps. "Having the opportunity to step on stage for this content was a big surprise for me because I clearly understood my abilities. The happiest thing is that I was able to introduce traditional musical instruments to friends around the world," she said. Before that, she spent many months practicing with professional teachers.

Many contestants from Thailand, Cambodia, and Turkey commented that Bao Ngoc was friendly and likable in sideline or behind-the-scenes activities. "As the host, she and the organizing committee welcomed us warmly," said beauty Mongkoutphet Harnsan of Laos. For Bao Ngoc, one of her great happiness at the competition is having many new friends.
