First Paraíso Literary Festival attracts thousands of visitors with books, workshops and cultural attractions

Among the highlights of the festival are books by different authors and genres, including classics of Brazilian literature and contemporary works. Visitors can find copies starting at R$10 and can also participate in an action to encourage reading through a literary fridge, where books are available for free. Anyone who wishes can also leave a copy for future readers.

"Holding this first literary festival here in Paraíso has been a dream of ours for some years. And this year it was possible to make it happen, because we managed to involve the entire cultural community of the city, the Department of Education, Culture, Department of Tourism and also Sebrae, which is a very important partner, which also invests in this part of culture and education", he stated.

According to the organization, movement varies throughout the day, especially due to the participation of schools at specific times. Still, the expectation is for a large crowd throughout the holiday.

"Our estimate is 8 to 10 thousand people passing through here. We are taking advantage of this holiday, because it started yesterday and runs until Monday, September 7th", said Colombaroli.

In addition to the book fair, Flisp has art, literature, theater and music workshops, as well as the presence of bookstores and publishers. The structure also includes a gastronomic space with food trucks, toys for children and artistic performances.

"This is an event for the family. We have activities here for children, there are cultural activities with art workshops, literature workshops, theater workshops, music workshops. We have books, bookstores, publishers present here. If you like physical books, they are here for you to purchase. We have a food truck section, there is a toys section for children, there are musical shows, theatrical performances. So, it is a program that is very complete and caters to all tastes", he highlighted.
