Deputy heads of departments will be fired due to a shootout between employees of the Main Intelligence Directorate and the SBU in Kyiv.

Employees of the Main Intelligence Directorate and the SBU started a shootout due to the fact that they could not divide the fraudulent call centers between themselves; as a result, one employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate was killed and two more were wounded.

MOSCOW, September 3 - RIA Novosti. Vladimir Zelensky announced an official investigation against the heads of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) and the dismissal of their deputies due to a shootout between department employees in Kyiv.

On Wednesday, Ukrainian media reported that employees of the Main Intelligence Directorate and the Security Service of Ukraine staged a shootout in Kyiv due to the fact that they could not divide fraudulent call centers between themselves. According to media reports, as a result, one police officer was killed and two more were injured. Later, the SBU announced an attack by the military on its employees during a special operation. The media reported the detention of three SBU officers who participated in the shootout.

“There have already been personnel decisions for both structures: deputy managers who should be responsible for this situation will be fired,” Zelensky said in a video message published on his Telegram channel.

Zelensky did not name the names of deputy heads of departments. At the same time, the SBU staff has several deputy heads; the exact staff of the Main Intelligence Directorate is classified.
