During the National Day holiday, the "one bridge connecting three places" Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge has become a popular cross-border passage for residents from the mainland, Hong Kong and Macao to experience the atmosphere of the National Day holiday. According to statistics from the Zhuhai Entry-Exit Frontier Inspection Station, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Border Inspection Station, from October 1st to 3rd, the passenger flow through the port has exceeded 310,000, and the vehicle flow has exceeded 70,000.

As the only designated channel for "Hong Kong cars going north", "Macau cars going north" and "Guangdong cars going south", the cross-border traffic flow via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge continues to run at a high level. Zhou Wei, director of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Border Inspection Station, said that since the National Day holiday, there has been a strong demand for cross-border self-driving passengers. Among them, more than 45,000 single-plate vehicles from Hong Kong and Macao have become the main force in customs clearance, accounting for more than 60% of the total vehicles, a year-on-year increase of more than 12%.

During this year's National Day holiday, the cultural and tourism departments of Macao and Hengqin have coordinated resources from all parties, launched a series of special activities, and vigorously developed diversified "tourism +" business formats, allowing tourists from all over the world to achieve "one journey, two experiences" between Hengqin and Macao.

According to statistics from Hengqin Border Inspection Station, in the three days before the National Day holiday, the total number of inbound and outbound passengers through Hengqin Port was approximately 390,000, and the number of inbound and outbound vehicles exceeded 38,000, an increase of approximately 18.8% and 21.8% respectively compared with the same period last year.

Among them, 85,000 mainland tourists with tourist visas left the country for Macao through Hengqin Port, and 106,000 Hong Kong and Macao residents entered and exited through Hengqin Port. The two places have obvious "two-way travel" characteristics.

Huang Yiting, deputy captain of the first duty team at the Hengqin Border Inspection Station, said that the 52 new inspection channels in the Hengqin Port Travel Inspection Hall have been fully opened for trial operation, and the overall customs clearance efficiency of the port has increased by about 65%, effectively ensuring smooth passenger flow during the holidays.

According to the forecast of Qingmao Border Inspection Station, during the National Day holiday, the number of inbound and outbound passengers at Qingmao Port will reach 830,000, and the peak passenger flow will occur on October 4, reaching 125,000. (over)
