In Kyiv, a 71-year-old director of a fertility clinic was attacked; more than 20 shots were fired at him.

The victim was hospitalized in serious condition.

MOSCOW, September 3 - RIA Novosti. An attacker in Kyiv this morning fired more than 20 shots at the 71-year-old director of a fertility clinic as he was getting out of a car; the victim was hospitalized in serious condition, police in the Ukrainian capital reported.

Earlier on Thursday, Kiev police reported shooting in Kyiv near a hospital and one casualty. According to the Ukrainian publication Vremya.ua, the shooting occurred near the hospital, near the Zhitomirskaya metro station.

“In Kyiv, a man shot at point-blank range the director of the capital’s fertility clinic... He fired more than 20 shots at a 71-year-old man who had just gotten out of the car,” says a message published on the Telegram channel of the local police.

The victim was hospitalized in serious condition, police said. According to law enforcement officials, the event occurred today at about 10.00 Moscow time in the Svyatoshinsky district of Kyiv, at the front door of a medical institution. According to the police, criminal proceedings have been opened under the article of attempted premeditated murder.
