The accident occurred at about 11:15 am on the 10th. The open fire was extinguished at about 2:30 pm. The cause of the fire is still unknown.

Multiple videos leaked on Chinese social platforms showed thick smoke rising into the sky from the foreign cargo ship docking at the port, and the fire was huge.

After the accident, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Communist Party of China, and Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of China, issued important instructions and instructions on search and rescue and the investigation of hidden dangers in various places.
