Save money when traveling to Miaoli on weekdays! The Tourism Administration of the Ministry of Transport has launched a weekday accommodation subsidy for China National Travel Service. You can get a discount of up to 2,000 yuan for staying in cooperative hotels. The Miaoli County Government has added 20,000 groups of "Miaoli Coins" of 500 yuan each, which will be available for collection from October 1. The central and local governments provide double discounts to encourage the public to avoid holiday crowds and travel to Miaoli.

The Tourism Department’s CITS weekday accommodation subsidy program runs from September 1st to November 30th, and is applicable from Sunday to Thursday, excluding national holidays and consecutive holidays. In general areas, the maximum discount is 800 yuan for the first night, and the maximum discount is 1,200 yuan for the second consecutive night. Each person can enjoy a maximum accommodation discount of 2,000 yuan; each eligible birthday coupon can be discounted up to 1,200 yuan based on the actual accommodation rate, and can be used in conjunction with weekday accommodation subsidies.

In line with central government policies, the Miaoli County Government will issue an additional 20,000 sets of 500-yuan Miaoli coins from October 1 to December 31. Anyone who stays at a legal hotel in Miaoli that participates in central activities and meets the qualifications for accommodation subsidies on weekdays can receive Miaoli coins in accordance with regulations; if the hotel is also a Miaoli coin special store, the room price can be directly discounted.

The county government stated that Miaoli coins are not limited to accommodation use, and tourists can also leave them for consumption at other specially appointed stores in the county. Currently, 375 cooperative stores have been launched or opened, covering catering, souvenirs, retail and sightseeing experiences. People can receive and spend discounts through the "Miaoli Coin APP", and can use the APP "Haokang Map" to check nearby special stores.

The county government pointed out that Miaoli has features such as mountain guesthouses, coastal scenery, Tai'an hot springs, old mountain line railway, rural experience and indigenous tribes, making it suitable for planning a trip of more than two days and one night.
