State Duma Deputy Kaplan Panesh spoke about recalculations and additional payments of pensions in 2026

State Duma deputy Kaplan Panesh, in a conversation with RT, explained what recalculations and additional payments Russian pensioners will receive in 2026.

Those who turned 80 years old in August will have their fixed payment to their insurance pension doubled, from 9,584.69 to 19,169.38 rubles, and will also receive a monthly care supplement of 1,413.86 rubles. The pension increase will be indexed annually.

The fixed payment will be doubled when disability group I is established in August; the doubling is made only once.

Also in August, the Social Fund recalculated insurance pensions for working pensioners, for whom employers paid insurance premiums in 2025; increased payments will come from September. The amount of the increase depends on earnings, length of service and the number of pension points.

A review of monthly additional payments for former civil aviation pilots and coal industry workers is expected in the fall, Panesh said.

He also recalled that six categories of Russians have the right to receive two pensions: military personnel, disabled people due to military trauma, participants in the Great Patriotic War, family members of deceased military personnel, astronauts and federal government employees. To assign a second pension, you must submit an application, have at least 15 years of insurance experience, reach retirement age and receive at least 30 pension coefficients.
