Imports of Russian gas to the EU for seven months of 2026 amounted to 8.6 billion euros

In the first seven months of 2026, the European Union imported €3.4 billion of Russian pipeline gas. This was reported by TASS with reference to Eurostat.

For liquefied natural gas, this figure was 5.15 billion euros. Total purchases of Russian gas by the European Union from January to July decreased by 2.6 percent, to 8.6 billion euros.

In European imports of pipeline gas, Russia accounted for 10.9 percent (in value). Norway is in first place with a score of 36.3 percent, and Algeria is in second with 21.7 percent. The British share was 19.3 percent.

It was previously reported that in July 2026, the European Union purchased Russian liquefied natural gas for almost 607 million euros. The result obtained was 12 percent less than last year.
