[Reporter Su Funan/Kaohsiung Report] "2026 TTXC Taiwan Culture and Technology Conference" will be held in the Kaohsiung Pier-2 Art Zone from October 9 to 26. The Kaohsiung Cultural Bureau has specially planned the "Any Door in Time and Space" exhibition to showcase the results of the "Future Image" support project of 7 films including "Atre" and "1945". The public is invited to open the magic door of virtual production and enter the time and space of images full of imagination.

The Cultural Affairs Bureau of Gao City stated that with the support of the Ministry of Culture, the "Future Image-Virtual Production Support Program" will be launched in 2025. Through training courses and encouraging creators to use LED virtual studios for image creation, it will also increase the visibility of creative results through premieres and exhibitions, and enrich the industry's practical experience in using virtual studios to continue rolling out the next round of creative energy.

The 7 works of the Gao City Cultural Bureau's "Future Image-Virtual Production Support Project" each open up a different creative world, including the film "Atre" by Golden Bell director Sun Jieheng, adapted from the short story "The Man with Compound Eyes" by the well-known writer Wu Mingyi, using images to write a fantasy and intertwined virtual and real environmental ecological allegory "1945" directed by the famous special effects director Zhang Yongchang, recreates the Kaohsiung night during the air raids at the end of World War II; "Deep and Beautiful Asia: The Old Monk and the Cat Monster" by the gold medal-winning director Chen Yiren is adapted from the work of the comic master Zheng Wen, conveying the dialectical relationship between good and evil in human nature through a strange world of images.
"Katong" directed by the well-known animation director Gao Yijun presents exquisite puppets and the ideal paradise in children's hearts; "Lonely Edward" directed by Shi Youquan turns the zoo into a fantasy but surreal dating scene; "Doll" by Golden Bell director Xie Peiru uses a toy-like perspective to view the owner's emotions, showing the interesting perspective of small-scale characters enlarging the field of view; and new media art creators Wang Zongxin, director Zeng Zhongyue and Golden Melody Award Best Chinese Singer Soft Lipa) worked together to create the "Japanese Room" MV, using an image style that interweaves reality and reality to recreate their time and space memories that carry the emotions of adolescence.
Seven short films covering fantasy, thriller, history, black comedy, animation, criticism and music video will be premiered at this year's Kaohsiung Film Festival. The special exhibition "Any Door in Time and Space" brings together stills, prop displays and music MV interactive experiences from the works to simultaneously present "cross-domain new generation imaging experiments" The talent cultivation track and behind-the-scenes filming process of "The Studio" bring the creative process that was originally hidden behind the camera to the audience. Through the exhibition design, the audience can not only see the completed works, but also learn more about how the directors of "Future Imaging" practice their visual imagination through virtual studios.
TTXC also simultaneously launched the "Virtual Production" series of viewpoint forums, covering aspects such as IP narrative, visual experiments integrating virtual and real, crossover of music and interactive experiences, virtual idol concert production, etc., inviting Martin Hill, an international senior visual effects master who participated in the visual effects production of "A Song of Ice and Fire: Game of Thrones" and "Stranger Things", and led the team to win the Emmy Award twice. Come to Taiwan to share his rich practical experience; the creative director of seven works of "Future Imaging" will also share the creative process of using virtual production; Taiwan's top VTuber team, venues and technology experts will also be invited to cross-domain perspectives to get to the core behind the scenes of virtual performances. In terms of international production virtual production technology exchanges, South Korea's MooAm will be invited to join hands with three major film and television teams to release for the first time the innovative album of the "AI Hybrid Production Laboratory" supported by KOCCA.
