Jeongeup City, Jeollabuk-do, reflects 30.5 billion won in new project budget for 2027 in government plan

Jeongeup City, Jeollabuk-do, announced on the 8th that a budget of 30.5 billion won for major new projects for 2027 was reflected in the government budget.

This is 8.75 times the new project budget reflected in last year's government plan.

Next year's government plan submitted to the National Assembly included ▲ 16.4 billion won for the Dongjin River Restoration Project, ▲ 4.2 billion won for full-cycle research and verification support for radioactive innovative drugs, and ▲ 4.2 billion won for the small-scale smart city creation project.

In addition, KRW 1.2 billion in the Naejangsan Resort tourist site connection road construction project and KRW 500 million in the Sangdong District storm and flood damage living area comprehensive maintenance project were also reflected, laying the foundation for projects such as fostering future industries, improving tourism conditions, and preventing disasters.

The city will make every effort to ensure that the budget reflected in the government plan is finalized during the deliberation process at the National Assembly, while pushing for additional reflection of projects not included in the government plan.

To this end, we plan to continue consultations with the Ministry of Planning and Budget and strengthen cooperation with local political circles, such as requesting an increase in line with the deliberation stage of the National Assembly's standing committee and the Budget and Accounts Special Committee.
