(CNN)-- زكت الجمعية العمومية للاتحاد الرياضي للتضامن الإسلامي، الأمير السعودي عبد العزيز بن تركي الفيصل، رئيساً للاتحاد لولاية جديدة.

وتولى الفيصل منصبه عام 2019 ومن المقرر بقاؤه حتى عام 2029 بعدما تمت تزكيته خلال اجتماع الجمعية العمومية في مدينة الطائف، السبت.

وقال عبد العزيز بن تركي الفيصل خلال اجتماع الجمعية العمومية: "تقع على عاتقنا جميعاً مسؤولية مشتركة لحماية ما تم إنجازه، وضمان بقاء الرياضة جسراً للتواصل والترابط والتضامن".
