The Egyptian Football Association extends Hossam Hassan’s contract until 2030

(CNN) - The Egyptian Football Association announced, through its account on the Facebook platform, on Tuesday, the renewal of the contract of the coach of the “Pharaohs” national team, Hossam Hassan.

The Egyptian Football Association said that Hassan, 59, will be associated with the national team until 2030.

The Egyptian Federation added that the contract renewal comes “within the framework of the Federation’s keenness to provide stability for the technical staff of the Egyptian national team, and to continue working during the next stage, in accordance with the goals and plans set for the national team.”

Hossam Hassan took over as coach of his country’s national team in February 2024, and since then he has achieved 20 wins, 6 defeats and 9 draws.

Hossam Hassan led Mohamed Salah’s teammates to reach the round of 16 in the 2026 World Cup, which was held in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico, for the first time in the history of the “Pharaohs” team.
