In conjunction with the project to add a connecting road to the "Bade Interchange", the Taoyuan City Government continues to promote the construction of new roads on the left and right banks of Dahan River. The right bank road will add a new bridge across Dahan River to further connect Provincial Highway 3. This is also the third bridge in Daxi after Wuling Bridge and Kanjin Bridge; the right bank road is in process The design work is expected to be tendered in May next year and completed by the end of 2030; the left bank road has entered the detailed design stage. In the future, after the left bank road, cross-stream bridge and Bade Interchange connection road are completed one after another, it will connect the national highway, Provincial Highway 3 and local roads to form a new regional transportation framework in Daxi.
Officials from the Taoyuan City Public Works Bureau stated that the Daxi area is restricted by the topography of Dahan Creek and river terraces. Currently, cross-river and external traffic are still highly dependent on existing roads and bridges. In addition, the concentration of sightseeing traffic during the holidays makes the main roads prone to congestion. Therefore, the Taoyuan City Government plans to connect the roads on both sides of Dahan Creek. The new road on the right bank is about 1,354 meters long and 20 to 27 meters wide. It adopts a two-way two-lane design.

The right bank road involves changes in the urban plan. The city government has changed the Category B industrial zone at the northern end of the Daxi urban plan into road land. It was reviewed and approved by the Taoyuan City Urban Planning Committee on September 22 this year. The relevant procedures are expected to be completed by the middle of next year.
The biggest project highlight of the right bank road is the newly built bridge across the Dahan River. The road will cross the Dahan River near Lane 476 of Daying Road at the end of the left bank project, then cross Yuehu Road and enter the river terrace. Then it will be connected with Xinyi Road Lane 525 by a surface road, and finally connected to Provincial Line 3, becoming an important new cross-stream and external link in Daxi.
Officials from the Public Works Bureau said that the left bank road extends from Daying Road Lane 1020 to Daying Road Lane 476, with a total length of about 2,295 meters. It is currently in the detailed design stage. In the future, when the left bank road, cross-stream bridge and Bade Interchange connecting road are completed, it will connect the national highway, Provincial Highway 3 and local roads to form a new regional traffic skeleton in Daxi, and also improve the alternative traffic capacity in disasters or road congestion.
After the cross-river bridge is completed in the future, it will not only directly connect the left and right banks of the Dahan River, but also form a complete road network with the Bade Interchange. Vehicles are expected to enter and exit Daxi via the national highway system in the direction of Bade, adding another regional connection option and reducing the current concentration of traffic on existing roads and bridges. It will also have a diversion effect on the traffic in Daxi urban area, tourist areas and surrounding settlements.
