On October 25, at the National Advanced Computing Industry Innovation (Yichang) Center in Dianjun District, Yichang City, Hubei Province, the crystal-clear "Silicon Cube" was running stably, with 125P computing power equivalent to 1 million laptops running at full capacity at the same time.
Many years ago, this area was still a wasteland. Nowadays, multiple computing power platforms have grown up, and a number of innovative companies such as AI big data and embodied intelligence have launched.
Green e-education new plan
Dianjun District is located on the south bank of the Yangtze River. Suburban agriculture and landscape pastoralism have long been the main forms. It is a "large rural area in the city" where Yichang's development is relatively lagging behind.
In recent years, the Dian Military Region has focused on the innovation chain of "education with electricity, education with computing, and education with numbers", promoted the "Han Shu Yi Calculation" collaborative project, and made every effort to create a national hub node for the national integrated computing power network. The former urban and rural areas are rapidly moving towards the highlands of green computing power and digital science and technology innovation.
Liu Shen, member of the Standing Committee of the Dianjun District Committee and executive deputy director of the district government, said that relying on the stable supply of green power from the Three Gorges, the district has developed computing power and big data industries during the "14th Five-Year Plan". The total scale of computing power has grown from scratch and has now exceeded 2500P. A direct link with a latency of less than 2.7 milliseconds from Yichang to Wuhan has been opened, and transmission channels to Zhengzhou, Xi'an, Changsha and other places are being planned and constructed - computing power, transportation capacity, and storage capacity coexist here.

The green computing power base provides support for large model training, industrial simulation, and artificial intelligence research and development. Dian Military District has opened up the transformation chain from algorithm research and development to the implementation of results, and built a characteristic AI innovation ecosystem.
In the laboratory, the AI experimental robot's mechanical arm probes into the test tube rack, and the reagents are accurately sucked in, dropped, and mixed. Chen Nanjiang, chairman of Yichang Qingkui Robot Technology Co., Ltd., said that such a robot (set) can perform 200 experiments a day, and the experimental equivalent can be equivalent to 50 scientific researchers, greatly improving work efficiency and experimental safety. At present, the products have been used in biopharmaceuticals, green chemicals and other fields, and have been exported to Singapore, taking the step of going overseas for AI hardware equipment.
In the studio, several designers switched between shots and color-adjusted characters, and the AI short drama took shape piece by piece. Hu Ziqiang, general manager of Hubei Yixin Vision Technology Co., Ltd., said that relying on a self-research platform, a computer and a set of scripts, a single person can generate a 20-minute AI short play in a single day. Many of the company's works have gained attention and spread on overseas platforms. Each "Digital China Story" is entering the international market through artificial intelligence carriers.
