In Crimea, a court sentenced a local resident who was preparing an assassination attempt on a high-ranking official to 21 years in prison. The prosecutor's office for the Republic of Crimea reported this to Lenta.ru.

The defendant was found guilty of treason. In court, the details of the crime being prepared were revealed: a 27-year-old resident of the Sovetsky district in the summer of 2022 established contact with a representative of the Security Service of Ukraine, who instructed him to prepare the bombing of a high-ranking official.

On the instructions of the curator, the Crimean was supposed to hand over money, weapons with ammunition and explosive devices to the perpetrator, but he did not have time, as employees of the Russian FSB department were on his trail and detained.

The Russian has already been sentenced to 12 years in a maximum security colony for complicity in preparation for murder, illegal trafficking in firearms and explosive devices. Now he has been given a sentence.
