In Essentuki, a man will be convicted of corrupting children from an orphanage

In Essentuki, a man will be convicted of corrupting inmates of an orphanage. Senior assistant to the head of the department (for information interaction with the public and the media) of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Stavropol Territory, Irina Govorova, reported this to Lenta.ru.

According to the investigation, in the period from 2012 to 2016, a former employee of the orphanage committed crimes against sexual integrity against four young girls, three of whom were pupils of the institution. At the same time, the accused asked the victims not to talk about their actions, and therefore the crimes remained unsolved for a long time.

A criminal case was opened after a report of harassment committed by one of the affected pupils.

A 64-year-old man was detained and a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen against him. During interrogation, he fully admitted his guilt. As part of the case, a phone, laptop and tablet were seized, on which he recorded illegal actions.

The criminal case has been sent to court for consideration on the merits.
