A suspect in a 25-year-old murder over property was detained in Krasnoyarsk

A man was detained in Krasnoyarsk for killing his mistress’s husband for the sake of their joint property. Lenta.ru was informed about this at the regional headquarters of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

It all happened on October 1, 1999. The attacker met with the husband of his mistress, who, having learned about the betrayal, was going to divorce her. To prevent the spouses from dividing property, the man decided to get rid of his 27-year-old opponent and hit him on the head several times. The injuries turned out to be fatal.

All these years, the crime remained unsolved, but after 26 years, investigators found the attacker - he turned out to be a 53-year-old (at the moment) local resident. Now a case has been opened against him under paragraph “h” of Part 2 of Article 105 (“Murder committed for mercenary reasons”) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The identity of the defendant was helped by one of the witnesses, who remained silent for a long time, fearing his revenge.
