According to investigators, in July 2017, a 60-year-old local resident created a gang and recruited his four relatives into it. They were armed with firearms and ammunition, as well as explosive devices. Since February 2022, gang members have demanded that the owner of a commercial property in Moscow worth 38 million rubles transfer the rights to it to them or pay 15 million rubles. At the same time, they threatened him and his family members with violence.
“In August 2022, in the rural settlement of Plievo, one of the gang members, hiding his face under a woman’s niqab, in order to intimidate an entrepreneur, illegally entered his brother’s home and fired shots at him from a firearm. Thanks to timely medical assistance, the man remained alive,” the prosecutor’s office noted.
The gang members, according to investigators, also prepared documents with false information about the entrepreneur’s debt in the amount of 200 million rubles, attached them to a claim for debt collection and presented them to the court as evidence in a civil case.
