Until the 26th at COEX under the theme of ‘Technology that Changes the Future’

(Sejong = Yonhap News) Reporter Oh Jin-song = The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 17th that it will hold the '2026 Land, Infrastructure and Transport Technology Exhibition' at COEX in Seoul from the 24th to the 26th, where you can directly experience future land transport technologies such as autonomous driving, aerospace, smart construction, and artificial intelligence (AI) city.

The theme of this year's technology competition, now in its 15th year, is 'Technology that Changes the Future' (Move for Tomorrow). It is prepared as a representative technology exhibition that introduces excellent research results in the field of land, transportation, and private innovation, and allows the public to see and experience future technologies firsthand.

81 organizations will participate in this event and operate five theme zones and theme halls, including mobility, smart construction, AI city, aerospace, and innovative companies. A total of 409 booths will showcase future land transportation technologies, including autonomous driving technology, construction robots, basic energy housing, satellites and drones, and innovative technologies from 28 startups.

In particular, this year's technology fair will be promoted with a focus on four major directions: ▲ expanding tangible exhibitions ▲ public sympathy and participation ▲ linking corporate growth and investment ▲ strengthening technology exchange.

The independent booths of leading domestic companies such as Hyundai Motor Group, Korean Air, and Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) were expanded to 33, double the number of last year, allowing visitors to experience future technologies more closely.

Participatory programs such as special lectures and docent tours in the robotics and AI fields by domestic science influencers and experts are also operated.

In addition, we plan to hold an investment attraction briefing session and excellent technology matching consultation session connecting private investment institutions such as accelerators (AC) and venture capital (VC) and small and medium-sized venture companies, and support companies' commercialization and market entry through regulatory sandbox briefing sessions.

The basis for cooperation with overseas research institutions and companies will also be expanded through bilateral cooperation programs between Korea and Spain and a global research and development (R&D) forum. We plan to strengthen the cooperation network between industry, academia, research institutes, and government by holding performance sharing sessions in each field to share the latest technology trends and research results.

Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kim Yun-deok said, "Technology is not perfected when it stays in the lab, but when it changes the lives of the people. We will strive to create an innovation ecosystem where excellent technologies enter the market through research and development and where the people can feel the changes."
