4일 국회 외교통일위원회 소속 김준환 의원이 외교부로부터 제출받은 자료에 따르면 외교부는 올해 이집트 대박물관과 노르웨이 뭉크미술관, 스웨덴 아바뮤지엄, 조지아 사이먼야나시아 국립박물관 등 4곳에 한국어 오디오 가이드를 설치할 예정이다.

앞서 지난달에는 이탈리아 로마의 포로로마노 유적지에 한국어 오디오 가이드 설치를 완료했다.

외교부는 2018년부터 재외국민 대상 서비스를 강화하고 한국을 알리기 위해 해외 주요 미술관과 박물관 등에 한국어 오디오 가이드 설치를 지원해왔다.

사업 첫해인 2018년에는 벨기에 왕립미술관과 스페인 사그라다파밀리아 성당, 이탈리아 보르게세 미술관, 튀르키예 톱카프 궁전 등 4곳을 지원했다.

이후 매년 지원을 이어가며 교황청 바티칸 박물관, 미국 내셔널 아트갤러리, 스페인 프라도미술관, 중국 진시황 병마용박물관, 체코 프라하성, 요르단 페트라, 헝가리 국회의사당, 독일 베토벤 하우스, 태국 에메랄드 사원 등으로 대상을 넓혀왔다.
