Iranian President Pezhiziyan: No longer trusts dialogue with the United States

According to Iranian news on the 26th, Iranian President Pezhiziyan said in an interview that given that the United States launches attacks and imposes sanctions after every round of negotiations, Iran no longer trusts dialogue with the United States.

Pezeshchiyan revealed that Qatar and Pakistan are currently mediating between Iran and the United States. The negotiations are based on the memorandum of understanding previously signed with the United States, and "the United States must make its position clear on this."

In response to a question about the possibility of a meeting with US President Trump, Pezeshchiyan said: "Why should I meet with the President of the United States? What is the purpose? When we signed the agreement, they failed to fulfill their commitments."

Pezeshchiyan emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz issue can only be resolved through negotiation rather than the use of force. “Closing the Strait of Hormuz is a natural response when lanes are closed to Iran.”

Pezeshchiyan also said that he met with Iran’s Supreme Leader Mujtaba Khamenei twice. The first meeting lasted about three hours, and the second meeting lasted for seven and a half hours.

Referring to the conflict between the Houthi armed forces in Yemen and Saudi Arabia, Perzehichiyan said that Iran can help resolve the dispute between Saudi Arabia and the Houthi armed forces in Yemen, and Iran will not be the one to provoke a war.
