In Poland, seven people were injured after a knife attack at school

WARSAW, October 7 – RIA Novosti. Six students and a teacher were injured in a knife attack at a Polish vocational school, radio station RMF FM reports.

"On Wednesday in Ostrolenka there was an attack with a knife. At least seven people were injured, including two seriously," the report said.

It is clarified that the 19-year-old attacker was detained - he is a student of this school.

According to the radio station, among the victims were school students and one of the teachers.

This incident was later confirmed by the mayor of Ostroleka, Pavel Niewiadomski.

“Dear residents, I confirm that today a serious event involving the use of a sharp object occurred in the group of vocational schools No. 4 in Ostroleka. As a result, several people were injured,” the mayor said in a statement.

He noted that the situation is under control.
