The Kapralovs were sentenced to long terms for preparing terrorist attacks in Melitopol.

The Southern District Military Court sentenced the Kapralovs, who planned terrorist attacks in Melitopol, including against members of the SVO, to 20 and 18 years in prison, a court representative told reporters.

According to him, in 2023, employees of the Ukrainian special services created a terrorist community. The Kapralovs decided to help him.

Thus, in July 2023, members of the terrorist community organized a hiding place in Melitopol, where they placed explosives in juice cartons, explosive devices and ampoules with chemical weapons of mass destruction. The corporals picked them up and took them to the home of a community member.

After this, a member of the terrorist community brought to the attention of the defendants information about the targets of terrorist attacks - Russian military personnel participating in the SVO, and persons contributing to the achievement of the goals of the SVO, and also determined methods for committing terrorist attacks by detonating IEDs and mixing poisonous, poisonous, and toxic chemicals into food and water.

In July of this year, the Kapralovs and another community member identified several locations for IED explosions disguised as “power banks”: a cafe and market area where they planned to carry out the explosions. In addition, the Kapralovs placed an explosive inside a children's toy in the shape of a horse, which they hid in a hollow tree near the road, telling the community member the coordinates of the cache.

The corporals were detained before the terrorist attacks were carried out. At the court hearing, the defendants did not admit their guilt.
