A case was opened in Moscow after a former employee of the Canadian consulate was deceived. This was reported by the Baza Telegram channel.

According to the channel, a local police officer came to meet the 81-year-old former employee of the Canadian consulate, and the next day an unknown person called the victim and demanded 400 thousand rubles, threatening her with violence.

The victim turned to yesterday's visitor and the fake policeman promised to help. To make the arrest, he offered to hand over the required funds himself. But the operation failed and they demanded another apartment from the pensioner. After this, the district police officer convinced the woman to formalize a “fictitious” sale of her real estate worth 15 million rubles, allegedly to conduct a new special operation.

After the transaction, the woman was settled in a rented apartment, and her things were taken to the “warehouse of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.” More pensioners took part in the scheme, one of whom donated her apartment to her, the other acted as a courier and took the money.

Later, after the disappearance of the local police officer, it turned out that the apartment given to the pensioner also appears in other materials and has already been arrested. A criminal case has been initiated on this fact.
