The Taichung MRT Blue Line Project has launched 3 electric train exterior designs for public voting. Since the event started on September 10, it has received an enthusiastic response from the public. The voting event has entered the countdown stage and will end at 23:59 today (9th). Those who have not yet voted should hurry up and cast their votes. In addition to having their favorite appearance become a train on the China Jet Blue Line, they will also have the opportunity to take home prizes such as iPhones, Acer tablets, and limited-edition EasyCard keychains.

The voting activity for the exterior appearance of the China-Jiege Blue Line has attracted a large number of people to vote. On October 1, it has reached more than 50,000 people. The Taichung City Government pointed out that the MRT Blue Line Carriage Exterior Design Team extensively collected design elements in the early stage of the MRT Blue Line Car Exterior Design, and then a professional team deepened the design and initially screened to select the three most representative design plans. Invite all the people to vote on the appearance of the carriages and expand public participation in major construction projects in the city.

The Industrial and Construction Bureau stated that the three electric vehicles launched this time are "Mountain and Sea Pulse", "Light Wingspan" and "City Blue Parallel". Their exterior designs are all inspired by the characteristics of Taichung city.

The TMT Bureau pointed out that the "Mountain and Sea Pulse" style is based on Taichung's precision machinery industry and the semi-octagonal shape as the design concept, showing the characteristics of Taichung's industrial development; the "Light Wingspan" style is based on the curved wall streamlines of the Taichung National Opera House and the image of birds in Taichung Harbor, showing the city extending outwards and flying high; the "City Blue Parallel" style is inspired by the Taichung MRT "Golden Cross Road Network", symbolizing that after the blue line and the green line are connected in series, urban transportation will be more convenient.

The Jiji Industrial Bureau stated that the voting event will simultaneously launch 3D AR filters in the carriages for the public to take photos and experience. After the voting ends, the city government will announce the appearance of the final selected electric vehicle on October 19.
