Trabzonspor will host Scottish representative Hearts tomorrow in the second week of the UEFA Conference League.
Trabzonspor Coach Thomas Reis and football player Wagner Pina held a press conference before the match. Stating that Hearts will want to prove themselves after the different defeat they suffered in their last match, Reis said, "Our opponent will want to prove in our match that the different defeat they suffered in the last match was a mistake. They will try to prove this. This is actually a dangerous situation for us. Because after such big defeats, teams of course try to show a stance. These are not easy things. I have also experienced such situations in my career. I also have a 7-0 defeat."
Touching on the playing structure of their opponents, Reis stated that Hearts is a strong team that can apply rotation in some areas, similar to Beşiktaş.
"WE WILL MAKE THE FIRST 11 DECISIONS AFTER TRAINING"
Providing information about the situation of the injured players in the team, Reis said, "It will be a little early for Mustafa to return to the field tomorrow. If onuachu cannot be with us in the Rizespor match, he will be with us in the next match. We will do a training session after the press conference. We will make the decision on the first 11 after this training."
"I AM HAPPY WITH THE STAFF, I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS"
Answering the question whether Bouchouari and Mendy will be added to the Super League squad, Reis stated that he was satisfied with the current squad structure. Reis said, "We still have some time ahead of us, but we can only make these changes in January. We included Melih in the squad instead of Ruslan. It is not possible to make changes in this process. I am happy with our squad, I have no complaints about it. The injuries of some players create opportunities for other players. Our aim is to maintain high quality in all matches. We would be very happy if we could add young players to our team in this process."
"TRABZONSPOR'S TARGET IS ALWAYS TO WIN"
Answering the question about how many trophies Trabzonspor can win in the organizations they compete in, Reis emphasized that they, as a team, go out to win every match. The 53-year-old coach said, "We are talking about many trophies. When we look at the players, we want to win every match. Our only goal is to always win. If you are in this team, you should know that Trabzonspor's goal is to always win. It would be wrong if we say 'We will win this cup, this cup'. Of course, it depends on us, but we should not experience different problems such as injuries. Every match is very important and valuable for us."
"SUCCESS BECOMES THE TEAM ON THE FIELD"
Thomas Reis pointed out that the claret-blue team is going through a difficult match calendar and said, "I do not put myself first as an individual. I am part of a group. We have players who compete on the field and it is important for the team to be successful. We have experienced and young players. We have valuable players such as Salah, Fabio and Onana. Pina sitting next to me is also a very valuable player. If there is success, it is the success of the team on the field. We are going through a difficult period and we play a match every three days. Tomorrow too "This is how it will be," he said.
"WE WANT TO GET 3 POINTS TO OUR HOUSE"
Stating that Hearts is a strong team and prefers to put pressure on the front, Reis said that it is not easy to predict how their opponents will play in the match. Reis said, "We know the result of our opponent in the last match. They are a very good team and they are trying to play good football. They are a team that puts pressure on the front. I do not know how they will play tomorrow. They are applying rotations. Our opponent is a team similar to Beşiktaş. Since we are the home team, I hope 3 points will be written for us."
WAGNER PINA: SALAH WANTS US TO DO WHAT WE KNOW WITH CONFIDENCE
Trabzonspor's right-back Wagner Pina stated that his teammate Mohamed Salah is an exemplary professional both on and off the field and said, "He wants us to do the things we know in the best way and with self-confidence. It is great to be on the field with him. We need to work very well to meet the expectations tomorrow."
Commenting on not having the chance to play in some matches at the beginning of the season, Pina stated that this is a natural part of football and said, "Sometimes you play, sometimes you don't. What you have to do is to do your best. That's what I did in this process."
"WE WILL FIGHT TO WIN"
Referring to the importance of the team's consecutive victories, Pina said, "This makes a very important contribution. We play to win. This is how we can show ourselves. Tomorrow will be a new day and we will fight to win."
Answering the question about the changes in the team after Thomas Reis took office, Pina said that there was no major change in the game system. Pina said, "We are doing our best. Winning is very important in this process. The more we win, the easier things become."
