The first televised debates of political parties on the eve of the elections of deputies to the State Duma of the ninth convocation will be held on August 31 on Channel One and OTR TV channel.

The parties “United Russia”, LDPR, Direct Democracy Party, “Greens”, “A Just Russia”, “Motherland”, Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Party of Pensioners, “Communists of Russia” and “New People” will take part in the elections of deputies of the State Duma in the federal electoral district.

Campaigning for the elections of State Duma deputies started on August 22 and will last until the first day of voting - 0:00 Moscow time on September 18.

The parties “United Russia”, LDPR, Direct Democracy Party, “Greens”, “A Just Russia”, “Motherland”, Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Party of Pensioners, “Communists of Russia” and “New People” will take part in the elections of State Duma deputies in the federal electoral district.

On August 18, the Russian Central Election Commission held a draw for the distribution of free airtime between parties before the State Duma elections. Each of the ten parties participating in the campaign received the same free airtime on state television channels during the campaign period: “Russia-24”, “Russia-1”, Channel One, OTR and TVC.

The debate on radio stations started on August 25. The first debates on Channel One and OTR TV will take place on August 31.
