Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia was, is and will be the leading Arctic state. He wrote about this in the article “International cooperation in the Arctic: challenges and opportunities”, published on the information portal arctic.ru.

Lavrov stressed that Russian foreign policy in the Arctic will remain comprehensive and pragmatic. Moscow supports the development of the Arctic, he noted.

Putin, serious work is being done in the Arctic, and we are open to all partners who are ready to participate in it on the basis of equality and mutual benefit.
