وأضاف: "كان هناك وقف إطلاق النار الذي وافق عليه الحوثيون في محاولة للتفاوض على تسوية، الحوثيون خرقوا هذا الاتفاق مؤخرا وتمكنوا من توسيع وجودهم في مناطق على ساحل البحر الأحمر، ولكن الحكومة الشرعية تقاوم هذا التوسع وعلينا الانتظار ورؤية ما سيحصل، وكيف سيحل هذا الصراع.."
ومضى الأمير تركي الفيصل قائلا: "لا اعتقد أنه يمكننا مجرد القول إنهم (الحوثيون) حققوا التفوق في تقدمهم، القصة لا تزال بلا نهاية".
وعن دوافع الحوثي في تحركاته الأخيرة، قال الأمير تركي الفيصل: "أنا متأكد أنها متصلة بالأحداث في مضيق هرمز بالخليج، الطموح الإيراني عبرت عنه إيران بوضوح، يريدون أن يكون لهم حق سيادي على مضيق هرمز واعتباره أراض إيرانية، وهذا غير مقبول ليس فقط من وجهة نظر السعودية بل أيضا بنظر القانون الدولي.."
