Alrosa is putting into operation the fourth hydroelectric unit of the Svetlinskaya hydroelectric power station (Vilyuiskaya HPP-3). With its launch, the station reached its designed installed capacity of 370 MW... Investments in the project exceeded 5 billion rubles,” the statement says.

The launch ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation - Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev, Head of Yakutia Aisen Nikolaev and General Director of Alrosa Pavel Marinychev.

Among its consumers are enterprises of the oil and gas and gold mining industries, as well as objects of transport, telecommunications and social infrastructure,” the message clarifies.

According to the release, the equipment was entirely manufactured in Russia by the leading manufacturer of hydropower equipment, Power Machines.

Installation of the main equipment began in December. In August, the hydraulic unit was installed and tested. It will be put into operation more than six months earlier than the project deadline - April 2027, the company emphasized.

Alrosa provides 76% of its electricity needs from renewable sources, according to the company’s report.
