KMT New Taipei City mayoral candidate Li Sichuan attended the New Taipei City Tucheng District and Sanchong District Changhua Hometowns Association member meetings today. He was warmly welcomed by the villagers present, and Chen Meixuan, chairman of the Sanchong District Changhua Hometowns Association, was supported by three generations. Li Sichuan said that Changhua folks have performed outstandingly in various places and are a key force in driving the sustainable development of New Taipei City. He is also a member of the hard-working people who go north and feels the same feelings for foreigners. In the future, he will continue to promote various municipal constructions and take care of every foreigner who has settled in New Taipei with the same feelings as "outsiders".
Li Sichuan, accompanied by Hong Jingzi, president of the World Changhua Association, and Chen Jinhong, chairman of the Changhua Association of Tucheng District, New Taipei City, paid tribute to the guests one by one. Many villagers enthusiastically shouted "frozen garlic", and they also sang "Only you and not him in my heart" on and off the stage, jokingly saying that "only Li Sichuan is in my heart", which heated up the atmosphere at the scene.
Li Sichuan, who was born in Xiaoliuqiu, Pingtung, said in his speech that he, like many Changhua folks, worked hard from southern counties and cities to the north when he was young. No matter where he comes from, if he takes root in New Taipei, he is a family. After being elected, he will continue to promote transportation, people's livelihood, and industrial construction to create an environment for New Taipei to live and work in peace and contentment.
Li Sichuan pointed out that in the future, we will use the successful experience of Tucheng Hospital to further expand the capacity of Tucheng Medical Park, build a medical care center for the elderly, and create a one-stop care system that integrates medical care, long-term care, and social welfare. He also reiterated his policy on welfare for the elderly and will use the Elderly Card in the future. 300 of the 600 points per month are "Easy Card", allowing the elderly to spend money in multiple channels such as the four major supermarkets and pharmacies, making the welfare more relevant to their needs. It will also continue New Taipei City Mayor Hou Youyi's plan to build the "New Taipei Arena City" and drive the sustainable development of the Xinan area.
Li Sichuan also participated in the membership meeting of the Sanchong District Changhua Association. Three generations of the current chairman Chen Meixuan, including his grandfather and founding chairman Chen Wuxiong, and his father and former chairman Chen Jiongming, stood on the stage. The three generations unanimously supported Li Sichuan and led the audience to shout "frozen garlic." Li also deeply thanked the Changhua Association for its contribution to society and the Changhua folks for their enthusiastic support for him.
He emphasized that as mayor in the future, he will promote the construction of the "Dahanxi MRT Longitudinal Line" and the "Lushe Bridge" to improve local transportation convenience. He will also jointly plan the Dadaocheng Fireworks Festival with Taipei City so that New Taipei citizens can watch beautiful fireworks close to the Sanchong River.
