Hamyang-gun promotes transition to stay-at-home tourism by expanding lodging infrastructure

Hamyang-gun is concentrating its capabilities in all directions with the goal of achieving the '10 million tourist era'.

However, in order to support this, it is pointed out that it is urgent to expand accommodation infrastructure, which has clear limitations.

Hamyang-gun announced on the 3rd that it is promoting the value of local tourism resources to potential investors and working behind the scenes to attract large-scale accommodation facilities in conjunction with the recent international tourism investment attraction briefing session in Gyeongnam Province.

The county began diversifying its tourism infrastructure by inviting hotel operators and private capital to key bases such as Baekyeon Resort and holding investment briefing sessions.

So far, Hamyang has been unable to shed its image as a 'passing tourist destination', with most visitors staying on day trips, even though it has beautiful natural environments such as Jirisan National Park, Sanglim Park in the Millennium Forest, and Daebongsan Recreation Valley.

In order to maximize tourism consumption and the ripple effect on the local economy, a shift to stay-at-home tourism is essential, but the lack of large-scale lodging infrastructure such as large-scale hotels and resorts has failed to attract tourists.

For this reason, in order to establish an era of 10 million tourism, there are many voices calling for the expansion of accommodation facilities and the creation of stay conditions such as nightlife and nighttime content rather than simply increasing the number of visitors.

The military is also concentrating its administrative power on building facilities by attracting private capital as its top priority.
