Huang Zuojun won a silver medal in a record time of 38.32 seconds. Huang Zuojun burst into tears after the game. He also wanted to dedicate this medal to his deceased mother. "I prayed the day before to finish the race well to see if I had a chance to win a medal."

The fast-legged Huang Zuojun, who served as the third battalion, successfully held on to the lead and was one of the key figures for the Taiwanese team to win the medal. He was also emotional after the medal was finalized because he suffered the loss of his mother in March and fell into a low ebb. He stopped practicing for a whole month. "This medal must be dedicated to my mother, because When I finished the preliminaries yesterday, I was very depressed. I knew my feet were not good, and I only slept for two or three hours yesterday. I kept chatting with my mother and said that today was my last run of the year, so she asked me to finish it and see if I could get a medal, because I didn’t want to leave any regrets to the seniors and teachers.”
