The victim noticed and called the police. In June this year, prosecutors searched for evidence of Xie Nan's crime. The Tainan District Prosecutor's Office investigated and prosecuted the "nutritionist photographer" under the "Child and Juvenile Sexual Exploitation Prevention Ordinance" and other crimes.
In this regard, the Education Bureau of Nan City Government stated that a former nutritionist hired by a school in Nan City was involved in workplace sexual harassment. The school immediately intervened in the investigation and handled the incident after learning about it. The employee's contract was terminated and dismissed in July this year, and he was listed in the unqualified personnel notification system and was banned from entering the education field for life.
The Education Bureau stated that schools fully cooperated with the police in investigating sexual harassment incidents. After discovering other incidents suspected of involving student images, they launched an investigation into campus gender incidents in accordance with regulations. Between February, March and August of this year, Xie Nan set up a pinhole camera in the disabled toilet of the school activity center to secretly record sexual images of the private parts of two other female colleagues while using the toilet. In April, he used his mobile phone to secretly record the private parts of a fourth female colleague in the classroom, but failed. He also secretly set up pinhole cameras in the handicap restroom and women's restroom in the school activity center, and secretly filmed sexual images of the girls' lower bodies while four unsuspecting girls were using the restroom.
One of the victim's female colleagues noticed something was wrong, informed the school and reported the incident to the police. After receiving the report, the prosecutors searched Xie Nan's home and school office in early June this year, and seized the mobile phone, micro camera and mobile hard drive used in the crime. After forensic inspection, it was confirmed that there were relevant candid images, and the evidence involved in the case was clear.
The prosecutor of the Tainan District Prosecutor's Office concluded that Xie Nan secretly filmed four female colleagues, and was involved in the crime of "unprovoked recording of sexual images of others" under the Criminal Code, including one attempt. The secret filming of four girls involved the crime of unprovoked filming of sexual images of minors under the "Child and Juvenile Sexual Exploitation Prevention Ordinance." The prosecutor determined that the eight crimes committed by Xie Nan were consecutive offenses, and asked the judge to separate and punish them.
