China News Service, Xining, October 20 (Reporter Sun Rui) According to the official determination of the China Seismological Network: at 14:41 on October 20, 2026, a magnitude 4.6 earthquake occurred in Dachaidan Executive Committee, Haixi Prefecture, Qinghai Province (37.80 degrees north latitude, 95.65 degrees east longitude), with a focal depth of 10 kilometers.

It is reported that the epicenter is about 26 kilometers away from Chaidan Town of Dachaidan Administrative Committee, about 53 kilometers away from Xitishan Town, about 158 ​​kilometers away from Delingha City, about 168 kilometers away from Golmud City, and about 558 kilometers away from Xining City. The earthquake was strongly felt in Daqaidan Executive Committee, but no earthquake was felt in Golmud City, Delingha City, Mangya City, Dulan County, Wulan County, and Tianjun County.

The reporter learned from the Haixi Prefecture Emergency Management Bureau that after the earthquake, the state's emergency, seismic, housing and construction, transportation, water conservancy, cultural tourism, fire protection, electric power, railway and other departments responded quickly and carried out comprehensive safety hazard inspections on urban buildings, industrial and mining plants, road pipe networks, tourist attractions, etc. So far, no reports of casualties or property losses have been received. The water supply, power supply, gas, road transportation, and communication networks in the earthquake area are operating stably, with sufficient reserves of living materials, people's basic living security is in place, and the overall social situation is stable and orderly.

According to seismic monitoring information, since the beginning of this year, a total of 4 earthquakes of magnitude 5 and above have been recorded in the Dachaidan Administrative Committee area, and multiple felt earthquakes of magnitude 3 to 4.6.
