Taiwan’s recurve men’s team reversed course against Indonesia in the Nagoya Asian Games and reached the top 4, while the women’s mixed doubles team failed to reach the top 8.

[Reporter Lu Yangxuan/Comprehensive Report] The Nagoya Asian Games held a team competition today. The recurve men's team led by "Tangbao" Tang Zhijun defeated Indonesia 5:4 in the top 8 and grabbed the ticket to the top 4.

Taiwan's recurve archers were completely wiped out at the last Asian Games in Hangzhou. Their best results were limited to the top 8, breaking their record of winning medals in eight consecutive events. This year's men's team consists of two-time Olympic national player Tang Zhijun, and Lin Zixiang and Zheng Xianghui, who are participating in the Asian Games for the first time. They combined for 2,026 points in the qualifying round yesterday and grabbed the fourth seed of the men's team.

The Taiwanese men's team defeated Malaysia 5:1 in the first round. In the top 8, they fell behind 0:4 when encountering Indonesia. However, they stabilized their position and equalized in the next two games. The Taiwanese men's team showed resistance to pressure in the extra shot stage, finishing with three 10-point arrows, and successfully advanced to the top 4. This year's recurve women's team is composed of Paris Olympic national player Li Caiqi and new generation players Xu Xinci and Feng Youzhu.
